Since the movers are coming on Friday at 8 am, we want to get as much out of the way on Thursday so that they can move all the big furniture items and appliances without a lot of hassle. Here's a list of stuff that needs to get done:
- Clean kitchen (shelves, counters) in new house
- Clean bathrooms in new house
- Clean windows in new house
- Vacuum carpets in new house
- Vacuum floors in old house
- Drive over boxes, small furniture, and electronics to new house
- Clean out garage of old house
- Disconnect washer, dryer and stove in old house
- Install chain on front door of new house
- Unpack kitchen items and wash them and put them away
- Unpack bathroom items and set up shower curtains
- Remove drapes in old house (leave the blinds)
- Install hooks for bikes in the garage of the new house
- Take apart red desk in office so movers can move it easily
- Set up TV's and VCR's in new house
- Clean stove in old house
- Clean and defrost refrigerator and freezer in old house
- Set up wireless network at new house
- Set up computers, scanners and printers at new house
- Take extra garbage to the dump
- Unscrew shelving in laundry room in old house from the wall
- Dismantle weight machine in old house
- Put sheets down on carpets for major traffic areas so movers don't dirty floors too much
- Set up dog's rope in backyard of new house
- Put phones in jacks at new house
- Water the gardens at the new house
